That takes the cake for most brutal handgun suicide I've ever seen.

I can't tell if that was a 9 mm, or perhaps a .45 ACP?
Probably a 9mm, much more common outside the USA. I've never seen it myself, but a buddy of mine cleaned up a .45 suicide with nasty hollow points with serrated edges and everything, head basically exploded.
