People see what they want to see, even if that is not the most likely explanation. Looks to me like he did make some attempt to slow down. Perhaps he thought the window would be strong enough to stop him? But the suggestion that he decided to either (a) commit suicide and use dog chasing as a ruse to hide that; or (b) he spontaneously decided to jump out the window while chasing the dog is very unlikely. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam's_razor |

This is just my theory but here goes. Indians are known for wearing flip-flops/sandals, but they don't provide good traction. So, by the time he reached the end of the hallway, he couldn't slow down due to the poor traction. Inertia took over and did the rest that resulted in a cartoonish fall through a window. |
