Indian Lawyer is Cornered on Staircase and Shot In the Chest
Katihar, Bihar, India A lawyer, Guddu A. (either 35 or 45, depending on the source), was shot dead by armed criminals near a marketplace. He had gone to buy household items when, as he climbed a staircase, he was surrounded by three youths. He was forced to sit down, before being shot in the chest. A relative of Guddu claimed the youths were known to the family, and that the killers had had a dispute with Guddu three months earlier and had "threatened him with dire consequences". |
