India - Politician Killed By Helicopter's Tail
A finance controller of the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority, A. S, passed away after being hit by a helicopter's tail rotor blades in Kedarnath, where he was on an audit and inspection-related assignment. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when he attempted to board a Kestrel Aviation helicopter from the wrong side at the GMVN helipad.  Despite the pilot instructing him to board from the other side, he entered the tail rotor's range, causing him to suffer severe neck injuries and die on the spot. An investigation has been initiated to determine the circumstances that led to the accident. The incident highlights the importance of following safety instructions while boarding a helicopter and the need for strict adherence to safety protocols in the aviation industry. |
