Hard to imagine that the firecracker was the lethal event, although directly contributing, obviously. I think his melon planted face-first on the concrete was the primary factor in his demise... who needs enemies with friends like these.

The firebug in me loves death-by-firecracker (or at least gravely-wounded-maiming-injury-by-firecracker) videos. There was a video a few weeks ago here where a guy during a street gathering in the ghetto takes an M-80 and tosses it into the front seat of a parked car and it goes *BOOM!* followed by the occupant stumbling out of the vehicle in a cloud of black smoke as the crowd and the guy behind the camera went "WOOT! WOOT! WOOT!" (did I mention it was in the ghetto?) But the absolute BEST death-by-firecracker video on DR bar none was the one with 5 or 6 Indonesian kids (teens) all wanting to light this enormous firecracker at a gathering of young people that was about 6' long and about 2' thick when it goes off early, and KA-BOOOOOM! Even saw a human drumstick go flying up into the air Remember that classic on DR?    |
