Re: India - Dude Drowns During Flood While Crowd Watches
Yeah! The guy in the water who's drowning!! He has a BIG problem! And the cameraman! HE has a big problem, too, but not near as big of a problem as the guy in the water. And the guy who lent the camerman his camera. He's probably NOT going to get it back, so HE has a problem, TOO! ALL because of the drowning guy! Someone should throw a brick at the spot where the bubbles are rising from. |

Re: India - Dude Drowns During Flood While Crowd Watches
I was originally disappointed with this drowning, but on third viewing, I spotted some interesting elements. The victim is stationary and relatively rigid in flowing water, not flailing his arms, snorkeling air through his upstretched nose. The only way he can do that is to be standing on his tippy-toes. The water is pushing too hard for him to shuffle back to shore. While the camera was panned somewhere else, either his legs tired out or the soil gave way. Either way, bye bye to a non-swimmer. |

It's crazy how many people drown every year because they don't know how to swim. Or even fucking doggy paddle. For real this was survivable.

Re: India - Dude Drowns During Flood While Crowd Watches
I can actually feel for the guy (and the onlookers) because there was nothing they could do, even if everyone knew how to swim. I expected to see this indian guy 10 feet away in a pool of water desperately flailing in calm water as people around him looked helpless because no one could swim. But nothing could be done anyway. Poor guy |
