the recent killings in Kenya (students) was so bad, but I was surprised at how little reaction or emotion it elicited in me. 150 students killed? My own decreasing sensitivity to the numbers of the dead and wounded is in line with how little value for human life the citizens of those countries (all the third world countries) have. that's one big difference between us in civilized countries and they. we just don't value human life as much. and that's why it's getting harder and harder to care. But I'm guilty of indifference, and it makes me a slightly lesser human.
