Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
Thank you Gorelord for the answer. That in itself is appalling. No wonder the USA is at the moment fractured.

Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
Except no, the thing is...I kinda didn't. That was my point. #1. I have never once claimed that my 'political' bias does not impact my moderating here. You bet your ass it does. I keep a list of the more strident fascist bootlickers who are actively selling out my country to a crooked, twice-impeached convicted felon and when I see one of them breaking a rule, I will actually get glee when I crack their nuts for it. I might even crack'm harder than I would some clueless rando who just crossed a line out of ignorance or stupidity. Because they deserve it. Clear enough for you? You still think I'm prevaricating? I have never not been clear on this point. #2. The point that I was making with that reply, that you seem to have missed in its entirety, is that I do not ban fascist sympathizers and Trumptards just for disagreeing with me. Or just for fun. They actually have to earn it by breaking one of the many rules we have posted for acceptable conduct in this forum. I (like every other mod) have a lot of latitude in how I interpret and adjudicate those rules, but I do not weaponize them to 'punish' people simply for expressing an opinion different from mine. If their expression crosses some other line or triggers some other rule, I have very little compunction about cracking them for it. As aforementioned, I usually enjoy giving them a taste of that FAFO they're always chanting when the pigs are beating or murdering some civilian on the street. Sometimes, when drafting the notification message for the ban, I offer the sound advice that they are also very fond of. "All you had to do was comply when I told you to stop." Truthfully, I am surprised more of them (you? I have no fucking clue who you even are) don't have mental breakdowns from the cognitive dissonance when they feel hard done by because a forum moderator adjudicated their misconduct with the same standards and verbiage that they claim to favor in the 'real world. So long as it's always being levied at 'The Other Guy.' Boy, they sure don't like it when they act like thugs in here and I treat them the way they love seeing the pigs treat 'thugs' on the street. My favorite part is when they email chris begging to be let back in. Crying about being 'bullied' by the Libtard Fascist mod, LOL. Makes my fuckin day every time. But for all that, I never issue a ban without a good reason. And I issue very few. Fewer than most Mods here in any given year. I've been doing this for over a decade, you know. You think chris loves me so much he'd keep me around if I wasn't good at this fucking job? This entire thread, literally dozens and dozens of people clearly disagreeing with me, sharing opposite opinions, attacking me directly...you know how many bans I have issued? Two. One on a mentally ill psycho who stalked chris at home and threatened his life and one that chris reversed because he felt I did not explain the reason for the ban clearly enough for the user to understand why he got kicked. Clerical error on my part. Fair enough. The user in question came back in, wrote an entire post in the thread personally attacking me (Rule 10 permanent automatic ban). I shrugged and made a drink and forgot about him. Didn't ban him again (and I assure you the second one would have stuck. Chris doesn't play when it comes to Mod harassment) and couldn't care less. If this were my site, I'd ban every fucking one of the shitheel traitors that are actively supporting the shredding of my country's values, Constitution, and institutions. I don't think a damned one of them is worth a nickel more than the shit on my shoe after a run in the dog park. There are a million places they are welcome to go and spout their falsehoods, cruelty, and doctrine. But it ain't my site. It's chris's. I respect him and I respect his vision for the site, even if I do not always agree with it. I do abide by it. And that includes not kicking users off of the site just for disagreeing with me. |

Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
CURRENT VERIFIABLE FACTS ABOUT THE ICE SHOOTING OF RENEE GOOD (AS OF 9 JAN 2026) On the morning of January 7, 2026, 37 year old Renee Nicole Macklin Good was shot by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer in south Minneapolis near East 34th Street and Portland Avenue. She was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center and died from gunshot wounds. The formal autopsy report has not been publicly released yet. Good was a U.S. citizen, a mother of three children, and lived nearby with her wife and their young son. She had previously lived in Kansas City and other places before moving to Minneapolis. Interviews with family, neighbors, and friends describe her as emotionally warm, artistic, and community oriented. The officer who shot Good has been identified by multiple major outlets as 43 year old Jonathan Ross, a deportation officer with ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations. Federal officials have not formally released his name but media outlets identified him through federal court records and prior public testimony. Reports describe Ross as an Iraq War veteran and a former Border Patrol agent with specialized firearms and tactical background. Public records and previous testimony show he had worked on the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force and had served as an instructor for firearms and active shooter response. In 2025 he was dragged by a fleeing suspect during an attempted apprehension and suffered significant injuries. Multiple videos exist from the incident including footage apparently recorded by the officer, by Good’s wife, and by bystanders. These videos have been analyzed by several major outlets that reconstructed the sequence. The widely agreed upon timeline is that Good’s Honda Pilot was stopped near federal vehicles during an ICE operation. Good’s wife exited the vehicle and recorded agents on her phone. At least two ICE personnel approached the driver side of the vehicle and another approached the front. The SUV then began to move. Within approximately one second the ICE officer fired three shots toward the driver area. The SUV continued forward and crashed into a parked vehicle and a pole. Federal authorities have stated that Good used the vehicle as a weapon and posed an imminent threat to officers. State and local officials, along with multiple eyewitnesses, dispute that characterization. Several news organizations that reviewed the videos have noted that the footage does not conclusively show the officer being run over or knocked down. Some video analyses suggest the vehicle may have brushed or turned near him, while others state it appears he remained upright as the SUV moved away. There is no publicly available video that fully resolves this dispute at this time. A major question being examined is the delay in medical access. Video shows Good remaining inside the crashed vehicle while federal officers held the scene. A physician at the scene offered to check for a pulse and was turned away. Fire and EMS personnel were present but could not immediately drive up to the vehicle due to the positioning of federal vehicles and moved in on foot. Based on timestamps and reporting, several minutes passed before medical personnel reached Good and approximately fifteen minutes passed before an ambulance departed with her. ICE use of force policy requires that officers render or obtain medical assistance as soon as practicable after using deadly force. The government has not released a detailed account of what medical aid, if any, was provided by federal agents before EMS arrival. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is currently leading the investigation and has taken possession of key digital evidence including video. Minnesota state authorities have stated publicly that they were initially restricted from accessing that evidence. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty have announced that they are pursuing a parallel state investigation and have requested that the public submit any video or evidence directly to their offices. Digital evidence is still being collected. Ross has not been charged at this time and remains under investigation. Public reaction has been widespread. Protests and vigils occurred in Minneapolis and spread to other cities. A fundraising campaign for Good’s family rapidly exceeded hundreds of thousands of dollars and continued rising. Family statements describe Good as empathetic and creative. International reaction has included statements from a United Nations spokesperson calling the footage deeply disturbing and urging a full investigation. Several major newsrooms and fact checking organizations have documented misinformation related to the case. These include AI altered images and miscaptioned videos that falsely claim to show the shooting or reactions to it. News outlets have issued corrections and clarifications to distinguish real footage from fabricated or misleading content. At this stage there is an ongoing legal and factual dispute over whether Good’s vehicle constituted a lethal threat under federal and state law. Official investigative findings and potential charging decisions are still pending. The most reliable information currently comes from overlapping reporting by neutral wire services, local Minnesota journalism, national outlets using authenticated video analysis, and official statements from federal and state authorities. ===== SOURCES Associated Press: https://apnews.com/article/ice-shoot...6f2c699f1d16c5 Associated Press: https://apnews.com/article/immigrati...1ab36aa55fbda1 MPR News: https://www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...eral-operation MPR News: https://www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...od-minneapolis Star Tribune: https://www.startribune.com/what-we-...olis/601559966 ABC News: https://abcnews.go.com/US/minneapoli...y?id=129021809 ABC News: https://abcnews.go.com/US/renee-good...y?id=129018464 ABC News: https://abcnews.go.com/US/ice-force-...y?id=129016014 Reuters: https://www.reuters.com/legal/govern...sts-2026-01-09 Washington Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/natio...im-minneapolis KSAT: https://www.ksat.com/news/2026/01/09...-ice-shootings Patch: https://patch.com/minnesota/southwes...d-ice-shooting Patch: https://patch.com/minnesota/southwes...good-after-ice PBS NewsHour: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/...d-by-ice-agent PBS NewsHour: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/...ith-her-office Star Tribune: https://www.startribune.com/ai-misin...ting/601560361 Reuters Fact Check: https://www.reuters.com/fact-check/o...ing-2026-01-09

Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
Yeah, because both the local and the State governments have expressly told the President and DHS that they do not need ICE, they do not want ICE, and ICE is not welcome. But I guess all you bootlicking Maga simps threw out all of your old 'States Rights' and 'Federal Overreach' doctrine about the same time your neutered asses traded in your 'Don't Tread on Me' flags for 'Comply or Die' bumper stickers. Fucking clowns. Nuremberg awaits. |

Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
Idk hoe people are calling it a lawful order. ICE agents can't arrest US citizens and only have authority to detain a citizen if they can't prove citizenship. She's in a registered fucking car. There's no way they thought she was possibly an illegal immigrant. They had zero right to demand her out of the car. |

Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
Cheers Whisky for taking the time to answer. The only answer you gave that I have some questions over is my perception Of Ice's professionalism in public. Before retiring I was for 45 years in the Compliance and Enforcement area down here. We always wore the safe uniform , wore the same badges so the public could always identify with who we were. Yes I know what its like to be sledged , with idiots in my face yelling at me but that's the price of the job and the pay packet. Ice Agents wearing different clothing , wearing facemasks in my opinion is unprofessional and creates distrust particularly those in the public that want to disrupt. In their eyes it could be seen as untrustworthy, what are they hiding etc.... |
