Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
Please bear in mind that, even assuming every single person who voted for Trump did intend for ICE to piss on the constitution and murder protestors in the streets, even if they were all on board with ICE ignoring hundreds of court orders and human rights, even if every single one of them agreed to all measures no matter how extreme...that would be 77 million people. That leaves 167 million Americans of voting eligibility who did not vote for these measures whatsoever. Even in the two ICE threads on this site alone we have multiple self-avowed trump voters who have stated that they absolutely disagree with the level of authoritarian overreach with ICE at this time. As there is no data on how many trump voters actually support this level of overreach (versus having felt they were voting for immigration enhancement but not necessarily military level violent crackdowns), it isn't codified, but even if you assumed every single Trump voter also was onboard with this that is still far far far less than half of the public. Significant blowback should be expected. |

Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
I wouldn’t call them “protestors”, but even if they were, they are still a microscopic, tiny sub-fraction of even the smallest BLM protest. And that supposedly had half of the country supporting it. |

Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
Disgusting how this woman was mentally poisoned into dumping her kid off then going out trying to murder a Fed. She absolutely gunned it you can hear the impact of how hard she hit the agent then how hard she smashed into the car. How does this happen? How does a woman go from being a normal privileged white woman in a normal family having kids, to suddenly becoming "queer" and losing or forfeiting custody of two of her children and spending her time committing acts of domestic terrorism? How do people allow their political party to do this to them?

Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
FYI I have spent about a week doing deep research on everything ICE for anyone interested. I've added a link to it in the OP of this thread and the other ICE involved shooting thread. You can find it here.

Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis
Updates Since 26 January 2026 Federal and local courts have issued a decision regarding ongoing federal immigration enforcement operations. A judge denied a request by the State of Minnesota and the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul to halt Operation Metro Surge, the controversial immigration enforcement initiative in Minneapolis. The judge ruled that the plaintiffs did not clearly show that the operation violated constitutional limits on federal power even though the court acknowledged community harm and ongoing public backlash. Protests in response to the deaths of Renee Good and another individual killed in a separate ICE shooting have grown into a broader nationwide campaign. Organizers under the banner “ICE Out of Everywhere” have planned more than 300 protests across all 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C. These demonstrations include vigils, marches, and other solidarity actions against federal immigration enforcement tactics linked to the Minneapolis incidents. Political leaders and public figures have continued to react to the situation. The Minnesota Timberwolves professional basketball team issued a public statement calling for unity after the twin fatal shootings involving federal immigration agents in Minneapolis. They expressed condolences and emphasized the need for compassion and community resilience during the unrest. In Minneapolis and beyond, community activism related to immigration enforcement has intensified. Reports indicate a surge in participation in ICE observer groups across the country. These groups, composed of civilians documenting ICE enforcement actions, have drawn large numbers of participants in an effort to increase transparency and record federal activity in affected neighborhoods. A vigil was held in Edwardsville, Illinois, on 31 January 2026 to honor a man killed by federal immigration officers in Minneapolis earlier in the month. Participants gathered in cold weather to remember him and also recalled earlier vigils for Renee Good, reflecting how the series of fatal shootings by federal agents has resonated with communities beyond Minnesota. Federal policy changes have also been reported. The U.S. President directed the Department of Homeland Security to refrain from intervening in protests in Democratic-led cities unless local or state governments specifically request federal assistance or federal property is under threat. This directive followed widespread criticism of federal responses to protests sparked by the Minneapolis shootings and reflections on how federal enforcement operations are conducted amid civil demonstrations. Local and national news coverage has documented actions taken by local residents and advocacy groups as well as solidarity demonstrations such as organized protest bicycle rides in cities like Houston, which honored both individuals killed by federal immigration agents and called for changes in federal enforcement practices. Comedian Ben Bankas faced cancellations of several sold-out shows in St. Paul, Minnesota after footage of him mocking Renee Good went viral, which led to the venue canceling performances citing safety and liability concerns. This incident highlights the effects of public sentiment, protest activity, and heightened sensitivities in the wake of the Minneapolis shootings. Probably TDS, not trolling but really, if your TV starts telling you the resurrection of Hitler is coming after all minorities and queers, and that the white male which she is married to is basically a racist Satan, becoming a lesbian can be seen as an act of defiance, resistance.
