Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis

I guess ICE speaking about their general mandate and powers on their website is all-encompassing and supercedes the US code which gives them broader scope and powers as US federal agents
I'm perplexed I have to explain this to you.
I never said it superseded it. You're putting words in my mouth. You said you didn't understand where I (or anyone) 'got the idea' that their scope was thusly limited. I answered you, explaining that it came directly from their webpage.

It's great that you think it's funny that a citizen may be confused when the standard in their country is for the official government website to deliberately obfuscate and misrepresent its agency's scope of authority, but at the end of the day, if a citizen is expected to pore deeply over reams of legal code to understand whether the masked thug with no badge, no ID, no uniform, and no stated destination or objective has the legal authority to order them to do anything, detain them, or execute them as they attempt to leave the scene, then it's not working out so well for your whole 'nation of laws' concept as it is.

You wonder why so many citizens hate unidentified pigs in masks bullying people on the street? Maybe start by asking yourself why it amuses you that the US government deliberately misrepresents their mandate to the detriment of its population.

At the end of the day I don't find it funny that people aggressively misunderstand things because they're emotional and have an axe to grind. This is a problem with a lot of people in general, one shouldn't have to be told that the best source of understanding what federal agents can do is reading the actual US Code and departmental policies. If you cut out the bullshit that you hear about on the Internet, which is clearly infallible and never wrong and never rife with idiotic opinions, then it's very clear.

None of this event "amuses" me. A woman died for a stupid ass reason. However what does amuse me (at times) is overly emotional people who can't be bothered to look at things objectively.

From this angle it does look like the car hit him, check for yourselves:
Are you fucking kidding me? More bullshit AI slop from you? Why is your video on a potato when every other reel from the scene is hi-res and crystal clear? And why is yours speed advanced 18x like a Benny Hill credit sequence? Where did you find this amazing magical 'new angle' not seen in any other footage, but shot on a 2004 flip phone smeared in axel grease? Dude, please.

On a slick, wet street with ice and snow he gets 'hit' by a speeding car and he not only doesn't lose his balance, but gets back into position fast enough to get four clear, point blank shots at her as she flees?

In all of the real videos you can see that the cunt trying to break into the victim's car literally SLIDES on the slick pavement as she goes for the door handle, but SuperICE allegedly gets smashed by a well-aimed, speeding car and doesn't even stumble and still lines up a 3 perfect shots through the driver's side window as she goes past?

If you were hit and dragged 50 feet by a protest 6 months ago you would shoot also, it's more of survival instinct.

This is NBC and not Fox btw

He shot her like 3 times from the side after he was out the way. No judge is going to believe that self defense BS.

I mean Jesus, dude, did you even listen to the fucking news broadcast? The previous incident was when he was busting out the window of an arrest target's car. He broke out the window and the guy took off and dumbass had his arm stuck in the window like a cartoon so he got pulled along for the ride.

Had nothing to do with a 'protest.' It involved the guy he was supposed to be arresting.

But anyway, if your past trauma is causing you to act inappropriately in future situations, it is incumbent on you to work on your shit to be a better person, not to use it as an excuse to shoot an unarmed woman in the face.

In law-enforcement reviews, a previous similar incident doesn’t necessarily excuse later conduct; in fact, it establishes that the risk was known and that the officer had already been warned, reviewed, and retrained. Instead of supporting his justification, it raises the standard of care he was expected to follow.

Well said. A very measured response from an Admin.
Chris needs another couple like you around IMO.
Absolutely, and well said.

You know, this whole issue with human beings exhibiting any sort of 'emotional' response to any sort of stimuli, regardless of circumstances, is a recurring theme with you going back across your entire tenure here.

I get that you're smart, possibly autistic but definitely Overcontrolled and/or OCPD, high performing, analytical, and precise. I am sure you think it works really well for you in your former and current professional life. You have likely been very successful in both.

But I sure as hell do not envy your wife. I wonder how many years it's been since she was last comfortable crying in front of you.

Seriously, dude. It's not healthy to hold emotional responses in as much contempt as you seem to do.

I mean, sure. It's not helpful being a kneejerk-reactive spastic either, I agree.

But your hyper-focus on any level of emotional display as a negative trait is pretty telling.
