Hyundai Crushed Between Two Trucks, Killing Family of Three
A tragic accident on the Mumbai-Pune expressway on July 1 was caught on the camera of a passing vehicle. All three car occupants died on the spot, and the car also caught fire immediately after the accident. Video shows the car being crushed between two trucks within seconds.  The deceased, identified as J.C (36), his wife L. (35) and son J, were returning to their home after attending an event. The accident occurred when a trailer driver going towards Mumbai lost control of his vehicle and hit a truck that rammed into the Hyundai car.  The car then toppled on the road and caught fire within a few seconds. All three members of the family died on the spot. The trailer driver, Ramesh Nikam, also suffered injuries in the accident and was taken to MGM Hospital in Kamothe. He is under observation there,” he said. The trailer driver has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Motor Vehicles Act. The 3 km stretch of that section on the Mumbai-Pune expressway has witnessed several accidents. According to a report by TOI, 66 accidents were registered on this stretch between January 2018 and February 2021. As per the report, 21 people died while 39 were seriously injured in these accidents. |

Sad when a young family dies this way. I was the sole survivor of a car accident that killed both my parents. I was 14 months old, my mom was 19, and my dad 21. Seeing the picture of the victims is very similar to the only studio portrait I have with my parents. Just kind of hits close to home.  |

Had he not driven the car like an idiot, they might still be alive. I have no sympathy for bad drivers getting into wrecks, and even less sympathy for those that do it with their children in the car
