If you don't care about getting out, no one else is going to care. I would have taken a hacksaw to those bars the day I moved in. No thought about an escape ladder either, apparently.  |

Back in the 90s only the first floor condos needed these bars. Interesting to see now ever floor needs it. Could have survived if no security bar. There is that landing area on the lower level. But it's good they died together.

That's an absolutely horrendous way to die. Trapped in the flames by the bars that were there to protect them. Just awful.
