A couple years ago here in Omaha Nebraska we had a house explode. The previous tenant took her washer/dryer but couldn't get the gas turned all the way off. It filled up with gas over the weekend. On Monday an employee came to do a check list and it exploded when she entered the house. I lived a few miles away and it felt like a truck hit our house. People heard the explosion some 10 miles away

The explosion leveled the house and knocked all the surrounding houses off their foundations or lifted the roofs off, they were all demolished. The explosion blew a kid through a wall of another house and an old lady was almost crushed when her roof collapsed. There was no fire though, kind of like how a firecracker will put out a camp fire. |

The 3 year old was found. The other woman was 55 and killed in the house next door. Three houses were demolished and over 20 were damaged. The mother was interviewed and said she saw her daughter with “everything on her” and couldn’t get to her.

Yeah my kids works at Mt M..... Twp station 2, they were toned out as help for this. Damn shame. R.I.P. to all lost. Sad day. |
