Re: Horrible Accident Leaves Woman's Face Completely Disfigured
Well, usually when I read "extremely graphic" on this website I kind of chuckle to myself. I was not expecting her to be moving, and for some reason the fact that she's still alive and pulling at her face like a hollywood prop made me clap my hand over my mouth in horror for the very first time browsing here. Kudos!

Re: Horrible Accident Leaves Woman's Face Completely Disfigured
One of the more hardcore things I've seen. An excellent figure study in trigeminal nerve severance. Its three branches supply sensation from the face - even accounting for shock she has no obvious sensation from her face, she's picking at it with mild surprise, wondering what it is. One branch leaves the brain from the superior orbital fissure behind the eyeball so that's obviously severed on the left side. This supplies sensation from face, scalp, eyes and nose (except the nostrils, oddly). However she seems to have lost sensation from the entire left side of her face - the other two branches leave from beneath the skull and curve back up. They were clearly severed with the main wound. She has likely also severed the facial nerve, which leaves the skull near the ear and supplies the muscles of facial expression. Her face seems to have no tone at all, like steak.
