Re: Horrible Accident Leaves Woman's Face Completely Disfigured
As a Flight Nurse I see accidents like these nearly everyday... We do the very best we can for these kind of patients but the most important thing we can do for them is get them to a level 1 trauma center as fast as we can so that doctors can get them into surgery and repair damage done by their accident... It's a job I've had for 17 years and I couldn't imagine doing anything else... |

Re: Horrible Accident Leaves Woman's Face Completely Disfigured
well the good news is most of the skin is intact in her face so a total face reconstruction is likely. Whether she can talk or move her facial muscles properly depends on how deep did the cut go and how much muscle and bone was cut off from the face. Bone can be reconstructured fairly well with prosthetics but functioning muscles and nerves can be tough.
