As for the cop on the floor, he did right. A good blow to his head could have killed him. I would have done the same in that situation.

I'm sure cop or not, in a situation where you're being ATTACKED like this, he probably had no intentions of shooting him lethally. I'm pretty sick of people assuming they'd know what they would do in chaotic situations like this. You think you know what you would do because you're watching it unfold on a cctv, but in the spur of the moment when you don't know if this dude has a gun of his own, a knife or what...it all happens so quickly. First reaction in this situation is to show you have the better force, (pull out gun) he probably didn't assume the guy was going to charge him right off the bat. So having gun already pulled out, looks like he tried to evade him a few times before he finally fell to the ground an had no choice but to fire a round or two. And in the moment, you don't really have time to set your sights, aim, breath, fire. So fuck you Mr.I Dunno if I agree with this blah blah blah bullshit. Go out an be a cop in the real fuckin world for a week instead of what you invision in your mind, and tell me you wouldn't pull a gun when shit starts to hit the fan, regardless of what you know or don't know about the situation at hand. There's a LOT of crazy mother fuckers out there that, in this kind of situation, WOULD be running in with a gun too, or a bomb, or something more than a stick. People act like cops are always fearless. I say it again, YOU live in this day an age an try to be a righteous noble cop ALL the damn time. I can think of one reason. Illegal Job recruiters. A lot of that here too. Im not sure if these are known there wherever you guys are, but i swear it is true and almost always happens in a daily basis until now.

They recruit people from third world countries and such. They promise good jobs and salaries. then they ask for high documentation processing fee and job placement fees. a cousin of mine got rooked out of his 200 thousand philippine pesos ( roughly 4400 USD) for a fruit picking job in new zealand. supposed to be paid almost 100k pesos monthly in wages. when they handed him a valid one way air ticket to new zealand and after he verified it, he let the 200k pesos placement go. He got to new zealand but there was no job. nobody there to acknowledge him, and no money to fly back. he resorted to doing odd jobs to get food money because he is just a visitor, he can't get legal work. it took their family more than a month to raise enough for his airfare back.

That is one way of how undesired elements get into a country and ends up being illegal immigrant (if they choose to stay and hide) some would get jobs here and there, some would beg and perform on the streets, some would join criminals to make money. some would get lucky and manage to stay until the host country gives a citizenship amnesty and legalize all illegal immigrants who will come forward this is just one of the ways, not all of it.

Some illegal recruiters will just disappear after they have collected all fees from a supposed group recruitment. some who gets bigger fees would go as far as actually sending them to the destination but without the job and money for their way back.

many americans are too nice to report someone doing minor mistakes. specially if they can just shoo them away for a while. soft hearted many of them specially if the person is sick looking or homeless. then that happens.
