A double murder occurred in Peru during the early hours of Christmas Day, after a group of gunmen fired more than 10 shots at people attending a family gathering.

The violent attack left 2 men dead and caused scenes of panic among those present.

The crime occurred around 3:34 am, outside a house, while friends and family were celebrating the Christmas holidays.

After the attack, a man left the house carrying a firearm, intending to prevent the criminals from escaping.

According to the recordings, he got into a vehicle with a relative to pursue the attackers, who managed to flee.

Meanwhile, other bystanders tried to help the victims, who lay seriously injured on the pavement.

One of the victims was identified as Christian A. G. C, 45, who was shot in the head and died instantly at the scene.

The second man, whose identity has not yet been officially confirmed, was rushed to a nearby hospital. However, he died en route due to the severity of his injuries.
