I own a few helicopters and fly sometimes but basically you must must duck...the general rule is when you slouch your shoulders - Mark the shoulder level with hand and drop head to that level again to avoid decapitation. He must not have been trained In “copter etiquette”.

After working on aircraft, including helicopters for over 20 yrs... When the blades begin to decelerate; they do tip at the end. That being said, the pilot also was landing and moving forward which will also tip the blades... not to mention most helicopter blades have a teardrop design, the forward edge has is sharp looking and the aft of the blade is rounded. Some have a metal outer edge to protect it from debris that is churned up. IMO The idiot didn't crouch down at all while approaching the aircraft thus... Natural selection in action... |
