Re: Hillsboro PD Ofcr Body Cam Footage Shows Moments Leading Up to Fatal Shooting
Awesome job with the backstory and publishing multiple before and after accounts. Thank you RiversEdge! I doubt that the body cam was muted. Body cams often do not record audio unless the button to so so is activated. Once it’s activated, it captures the audio for a certain time before the button was pressed (I think it’s 30 seconds) This was a just shooting. The officer saw that there was something going on and when he saw the gun, he told/motioned for the hispanic man to go around the corner for safety. The man with the gun left his position to follow the potential victim, and the officer did everything possible to keep the two apart including putting himself between the two. It was only after the man changed direction and started aggressively moving towards the hispanic man (WITH A GUN IN HAND) when the cop used deadly force. The cop put himself in danger to protect the public. When he was no longer between the two and the public was in danger, he put the threat down. This was a just and good shooting. |

He literally saved an innocent man's life from a raging sociopath out to kill and you call him a "fucking pig"? Damn, severely mentally disabled people should have limited internet access |

Come and take them. Then your mourning loved-ones can come on here and post: “Exhibit #92,659 why all privately-owned guns should be illegal” |

Weird story, i'd still like to understand what the relationship is between the two driver's and why he was so committed to follow him across state lines to assuredly kill him.

Re: Hillsboro PD Ofcr Body Cam Footage Shows Moments Leading Up to Fatal Shooting
Okay, think I found my answer.... he was crazy. McElroy told investigators that Livengood had recently experienced delusional and paranoid thoughts and believed McElroy was being controlled by a medical device. A notebook he kept contained a series of disjointed messages about the devil, red cars and the antichrist. When Tualatin Police Department Detective Kevin Winfield told McElroy that Livengood began following Osornio-Ambriz in downtown Camas, she asked the color of his car, according to Winfield’s report. Winfield is a member of the Washington County major crimes team. “I told her it was red,” Winfield wrote in his report. “She then paused again and then slumped her shoulders and said, ‘That’s it.’” The day before, she told the detective, Livengood made a bizarre statement. “Red cars contain evil,” she said he told her. Osornio-Ambriz drove a red Ford Explorer. |
