High Speed Biker Slams into a Car Waiting at the Red Light
One person died and two were hospitalized in a high speed traffic accident that occurred on Oboronnaya Street in Luhansk. Around 10:00 PM, a motorcycle travelling at high speed, slammed into a car waiting for the red light. The motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident. The impact was so strong that the car's body was smashed to pieces, trapping a 20-year-old female passenger inside. Rescuers had to use a hydraulic system to free her from the twisted metal wreckage. The young woman and the car's second passenger were rushed to the hospital. |

You can hear them wind it up into what sounded like around fourth gear plus. He’s in a full set of racing leathers so I’d guess he’s driving a super bike at 600cc’s or more. Guessing his speed at least near a hundred to a dead stop he really kissed the world goodbye in a split second. Thanks for your contribution to DR today. We appreciate you. |

How would one completely miss those two cars stopped in front of you? Talk about having blinders on. I'm surprised that the dude didn't end up as a bloody puddle of mush on top of the car; he probably was but it was all contained by those leathers. |

Re: High Speed Biker Slams into a Car Waiting at the Red Light
It's more difficult to see silver cars at night, especially under street lamps they kind of match the pavement. But, I think this guy was going so fast that he didn't see the car at first because of how far away it was, then he was watching his buddy. Even looking away for a second at this speed it would have been impossible to correct himself in time. His only choices would have been to either just hit the car, or swerve and then fall, slide, and or crash into something else. |
