No picking up girls at clubs, no. But how is that different from right now? Regular Chinese girls never go to dance clubs. Not for sex, not for anything. If you see local girls in clubs, bars, etc. then they work in the "industry", period. I'll admit HK is different, but that's about it.

And just visiting a place means little. If you're really interested in beautiful China, I'd start by learning the language well. It's really tough, but that will greatly help you understand how China ticks.
