electrical impulses still left in the muscle. just like seeing someone twitching after they are dead. it takes a few minutes but it will stop. we had a guy in the ambulance that died from a heart attack, that kept sitting up on the stretcher. I had to check my shorts after the first time he did it. LMAO

All the cells in the heart have a characteristic that no other cell in the human body has which is called "automaticity" and it'll keep beating untill it dies from lack of oxygen. Freakin cool.
