Re: Heart of Traffic Victim Lays on the Asphalt Still Beating
Yup every heart cell can contract by itself when they touch each other they synchronize, so a heart can beat outside of a body for some time until enough cells die

I was sort of wondering the same thing. I have my doubts that South America is the forefront of lifesaving surgery, but...surely there are people on wait lists for organs? Surely people need heart surgery? I wonder if people could - in cases like this, and if they thought quickly enough - harvest an obviously fresh organ like this and deliver it to a hospital . |

Re: Heart of Traffic Victim Lays on the Asphalt Still Beating
That is creepy as fuck...Great Video. The whole video is crazy- How did just the heart end up way over there all by itself considering the person was face down and all the other organs just came out the side one big pile of mush? Amazing...and very interesting. Poor guy...At least he had a big heart! That was corny as fuck- I know.
