Wow. I didn't know that was physically possible! So I guess those karate movies where the guy punches his fist through the enemy's chest and pulls out his beating heart IS in fact a possibility. Oh the things I learn here on DR!

Well I guess he never suffered from Heart Problems, 'til now that is. Not to mention on every video I see in there dealing with an individual getting hit, The person who hits them always seems to RUN. I wonder why...

The tissue cells that make up the heart are unique in the body. They're "programmed" to have a rhythm, and that tendency is so strong that even when severed from the rest of the body, the muscle keeps trying to do it.

Even with his guts on the ground, I think that if he would not have lost his heart he would have definitely would have lived a while longer.
