Posted this with far more photos over in the Pic section, but I know a lot of folks don't check over there and the vid is the main draw anyway. Gonna keep the vid up over here at least until someone translates the Spanish for me. :)


Young woman (early 20s) was found very freshly hanged in a public park. The guy who is filming the video is apparently not the one who phoned the police or, if he was, he didn't stick around.

There was some initial speculation in the news that she was murdered by the guy with the camera. Personally, I think it is significantly more likely that he's a random petty criminal with other business in the part at night and just happened to find this woman who hanged herself only moments earlier. He sounds baked out of his mind while he's slapping her rather ungently, but he keeps asking, "Hey...are you alive? Are you alive?" (I think! My understanding of spanish is mostly written, but it sounded like Vivo? Vivo? to me) Of course, he's got an ancient, crumbling hand gun as well, but I figure that's just Colombia.

As usual, there was a lot of concern in the news and on social media that she was murdered, less because of the drunken gunman with the camera, but more because her knees are on the ground. The Grand Mystery that is partial suspension hanging continues unabated in the third world.

My written understanding of Spanish is much stronger than my listening, plus I'm an old man with bad hearing. If someone can translate exactly what the camera guy is saying, that'd be cool.

I can assure you it's there with a lot more detailed info and photos. I just decided to drop an 'abridged' version of the post over here since the main content is a video and I'd like help translating that drunken camerman's guttural Spanish slur. I don't typically double-dip both sections and I had way more pics than vids, but I felt the vid was unique enough to drop it over here too. Plus, as I said, I need help with the Spanish.

I mean...it's possible. But it is definitely in Colombia. I can usually tell the difference between the two, though his accent and his drunk/baked slur might be throwing me.

Possible that a he's Brazilian, I guess. But he is definitely in a spanish speaking country and he definitely used the term 'muchacha', which is a spanish word, not Portuguese.
