A Gypsy Clan Ride-by Shooting Killed a Pregnant Woman, a Teen and Another Woman

Spain. The shooting took place in the coastal town of Isla Cristina, which is located in the province of Huelva within the southern autonomous community of Andalusia.

The Guardia Civil has launched a massive manhunt for two masked gunmen following a brutal narco-related ride-by shooting that killed three people and left an unborn baby dead.

The two women killed were the 39-year-old sister and the 62-year-old mother-in-law of imprisoned gang leader El Baba. The 39-year-old woman was eight months pregnant and medical teams were unable to save her unborn child.

Also a teenager that was walking by was hit by bullets and died. He wasn't part of any of the clan families.

An 18-year-old nephew of the gang leader remains hospitalized in critical condition, while another minor sustained minor leg injuries.

The massacre is being treated as a direct settling of scores between two rival gypsy drugs clans being the Baba Clan (Salazar family) and the Moriña Clan.

In September 2024, El Baba shot and killed his own brother-in-law (a member of the Moriña Clan) in the El Torrejón neighborhood of Huelva.

Following that murder, El Baba's family fled Huelva and hid in Isla Cristina to escape blood vengeance. Despite El Baba being arrested in northern Spain and held in pre-trial detention, the rival clan tracked his family down to take revenge.

The two attackers arrived on a motorcycle and used a long-barrelled firearm to execute the hit. After fleeing, they drove into a nearby pine forest and set the motorcycle on fire to destroy DNA and fingerprints, causing a small wildfire that firefighters quickly contained.

Special police units are also guarding the Pérez Cubillas and El Torrejón neighborhoods in Huelva city, as well as the local mortuaries, to prevent immediate retaliatory riots or clashes during the autopsies.

Police unions in Andalusia are using the massacre to demand the immediate reinstatement of OCON-Sur, a specialized elite anti-drug command, warning that narco-violence along the Huelva coastline is escalating out of control.
