Two masked gunmen riding a motorcycle shot to death a village treasurer in the Philippines yesterday noon.

41-year-old J.S.Jr. was walking with a friend down a sidewalk when the motorcycle back rider shot him at close range in the head. His friend was unharmed.

The masked assailants fled.

The victim and his friend were in town to reportedly collect their salary from a bank.

Police said they have yet to ascertain the motive for the attack.
