I listened to most of the podcast which was an interview of the man that fired the shot that killed him.

Not only were they neighbors, the guy that was shot was trying to start his own business and this neighbor that fired the shot was trying to help him get his business off the ground and give him a hand, since the guy that was shot was a felon that had spent time in prison.. job opportunities may have been difficult for this guy.

Not sure what caused this business relationship or the good terms to go sour between them.The guy that fired the shot had ALSO fired a restraining order on this idiot, and he hadn't been served yet.

This guy that was shot had also previously thrown huge rocks at his windows. Imagine having a neighbor this unhinged and it escalates until you file a restraining order and unsafe around your own home...He had EVERY reason to defend himself, this is a prime example of why we should have concealed carry laws.
The guy that was shot had a knife, and was trying to take this guy's gun.
I would have shot his ass too.

He was also initially aiming at his head, and although it was still a fatal shot, moved the gun down to his chest. That tells me, in some way, I don't think he was intentionally trying to kill him. He dialed 911 immediately after the shooting, the man that was shot was pronounced dead at the hospital.
