Guy on Scooter Fatally Clotheslined by Cables from Mobile Crane Arm
Taiwan, 69 year old C. riding his scooter hits the metal cables hanging from a crane arm in front of him. He falls onto the road with his throat cut. Police say the victim was found lifeless at the scene with a 3 by 1 inch gash on his neck. He was rushed to hospital where he was confirmed dead. The crane driver, 43, was detained for questioning and told he was driving out very carefully checking for cars the entire time. The scooter rider, going approx. 30 mph, tried to squeeze underneath the crane arm but hit the metal wires that were half an inch thick. He is survived by a wife, son and 2 daughters. |
