Definitely deranged. Have you seen his music videos? One of them showed him in a helmet/vest in a classroom, then at the end of the song, the screen fades to black then you can hear people screaming and the video starts playing metal music while flashing visuals of the classroom all messy and bloody. Kinda cringe, but it gives you the idea of what a weirdo the guy was.

YouTube of course did its thing and kept taking down the video every time someone uploaded it.
