I'm guessing this was a hit, business owner was the victim so maybe she had a debt with bad people or owed money?

It’s a good thing they have CCTV there. He could have easily been the killer. Sent to prison, hung drawn and quartered.
Unless of course he hired someone to kill her and then to have the killer shoot at him but not to kill him. (So many murder cases like this!)
Or it could be a message to the husband.
You hav a point. The husband did not seem to be really troubled by what happened except for a bit of hair patting.
