This made me think of a movie I saw YEARS ago, with Aragon from Lord Of The Rings.

The movie was partially set in Russia, and concerned rival mobs, IIRC.

One of the monsters was a barber who suspected his client (a younger dude) of being a rat. He slit the client’s throat with the razor. That was the opening scene. Unexpected, very bloody and quite realistic.

That's actually a common misconception...in fact, the skin is receding, making hair and nails appear to grow
