I've heard first-hand police accounts of people getting shot in the head, but it fails to penetrate the cranial vault and skips around the head under the skin. The impact of the round typically knocks them out and also leaves them with a very bloody de-gloving wound, but they came to later and survived. So the extra two rounds were "just in case", I expect. |
