For the people asking why would you choose to go like this; his death would have come the moment he took his first breath. When someone is set on fire, or sets themselves on fire, they live longer, because they have fresh air around them to breathe. When you're surrounded by flames, the first breath will burn your trachea and it will seal off the passage to prevent further damage. And then the body sends fluids to the site to cool it. In simple terms, your airway gets burned, seals itself off, and your lungs fill up with fluid. It's a fairly quick death. Nor more than a few seconds. Still painful for those few seconds though.
