Guy Lost His Leg in Shark Attack Died Due to Massive Blood Loss
19 Sept 2011. It was a tragic weekend in Mombasa, Kenya when a youth was attacked by a bull shark while swimming in the Indian Ocean at Mama Ngina public beach. The unidentified youth had his right leg completely ripped off while the left leg was partly dangling after the Saturday evening incident which shocked many residents. The spot of the attack is within the Likoni crossing channel. A witness, Ibrahim Mohammed said he heard loud screams from the man when he got attacked. The screams forced those who were near to rush and pull him out to the shores and rush him to hospital. The victim, believed to be less than 25-year- old, died three hours later due to excessive bleeding. |

Wow! This reminds me, it's almost time for SHARK WEEK on the Discovery channel!!! That salt water and sand must feel really great in those wounds! I guess they've never heard of tourniquets... |

Will people 2 belts for tourniquets, it was doubtful he would have survived that... I speak from experience, only not a shark, forks of a fork lift took half my leg 30 years ago, if the security guard who tourniquet my stump was as good as these beach videoers... My finger would be going through this Tablet just now  |

Um (2) tourniquets would work to stop the bleeding.. Bolus LR bilateral arms to help with the blood loss... Transport to a trauma surgeon... Oh wait, they're in Kenya.... Nevermind, he's dead |
