Guy Hung Himself Outside the Window
A 38 year-old man hung himself after he went to his room, locked the door, and told his folks to leave him alone. Not much later they saw him hanging outside the window. Financial problems were the trigger in his suicide. (Nort-East, Egypt)

Sorry to be "that guy," but it's hanged when referring to people. Pictures are hung; well endowed men are hung; a person dangling from a window with a rope around their neck is hanged.
