Re: Gunned Down in Mexico
Most people don't know than more than 90% of the time bullets ricochet almost tangential to the surface they hit and believe they're out of harm's way. |

Re: Gunned Down in Mexico
Last contributed vid, gunneddown5 are the two murdered men that were doing some celebration firing earlier this year. Story: Two men that were killed with bursts of AK 47 and AR 15 at a parking lot of a pharmacy are allegedly linked to the Sinaloa Cartel. According to the authorities, they were part of the group of Julián Grimaldi Paredes, whom they accuse of participating in the ambush of military on September 30, 2016 and who escaped from the Aguaruto prison in 2018. Those killed were identified as G. N, 45 and M. Á. N, 43. The vehicle in which they circulated, a Honda CRV color gray, has registration in the name of a woman from the Tacuichamona area. For the double homicide 4 men were arrested as alleged perpetrators, in a house in which there were weapons and armored vehicles. The murder occurred around 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 21st. Both were inside the car in the pharmacy parking lot and armed men arrived who unloaded AK 47 and AR 15 rifles. According to experts from the Attorney General's Office, the gunmen fired more than 300 bullets. The assassins fired at the Honda from the side and the back. The driver's body was left on the seat reclining on the steering wheel and the co-pilot on the side of the car. In social networks videos were posted in which the firing of the weapons can be heard and others where the corpses and the interior of the vehicle can be seen. One of the videos recorded from the sidewalk across the pharmacy, captures the exact moment in which they are shooting, but the vehicles parked next to the Honda prevent observing the sicarios. According to the State Secretary of Public Safety (SSPE), citizens who were in the place first recorded videos and took pictures of the bodies and the crime scene and then reported to the 911 emergency system. The police received the first call seven minutes after the double homicide occurred. Witnesses told authorities that the killers had escaped in a white Toyota Corolla. Minutes after the murder elements of the Army and the State Preventive Police located the vehicle and pursued it two blocks from where the double murder occurred. The two occupants were arrested along with two other men who were in the house. Seized were the vehicle, two handguns and three long weapons, one of them with a grenade launcher. Neighbors in the area said the arrest occurred about 20 minutes after the killings were committed. At 22:00 hours on Wednesday, staff of the Attorney General's Office arrived at the home with a search warrant, which lasted about five hours. During the search they secured a Chevrolet Cheyenne van and a Van Express, both armored. There were also 3 thousand 790 cartridges, a 50 caliber rifle, a multiple grenade launcher with capacity for six grenades, a machine gun, seven grenades 40 mm caliber, two defensive grenades, three AK 47 long weapons, a short weapon, a poncha pontos, 90 chargers of various calibers and a Barret 50 caliber rifle. Allegedly, the detainees and the executed were members of the group of Julián Grimaldi Paredes, as financial operator of the Sinaloa Cartel. The Prosecutor's Office implicated him in the military ambush that left five soldiers dead and 10 injured, during the rescue of a criminal who was injured in a shootout in Badiraguato and was transferred by members of the militia to a hospital in Culiacán to receive medical attention. One month after the massacre, the Army took the community of Paredones, from where Grimaldi originates and for two weeks kept the town besieged by searching houses. In the homes allegedly owned by Grimaldi, they found 41 vehicles, a lion, grenade launcher, rifles, chargers, 278 cell phones, five Rolex watches, 12 thousand 220 dollars and tactical equipment. It was until February 16, 2017 when the military managed to capture Grimaldi Paredes. The capture was in a celebration that took place in a party hall in the Santa Fe sector in Culiacán. Five alleged members of his group were arrested along with him, who according to the army were armed and aboard a van outside the party hall. The detainees were granted AK47 and AR15 rifles, a 50-caliber Barret rifle, pistols, communication radios, multi-caliber chargers, cash, a jaguar and three vehicles. The alleged criminal was imprisoned for only five months and escaped from the Aguaruto prison in the early hours of July 22, 2018, along with Carlos Salmón Higuera, the Macaco , a gangster of the Beltrán Leyva Cartel, who was murdered by members of his group two months later. The inmates escaped from the penitentiary with the help of two guards who provided them with guards' uniforms and took them out the door, pretending to be policemen. |
