Gunman Drops Phone So Victim Can Pick It Up, Then Shoots Him 16 Times
Luz, Minas Gerais, Brazil A 29-year-old man was killed with 16 shots late Tuesday afternoon (14). The victim, who had prior arrests for drug trafficking, arrived by car around 6:50 p.m., parked and waited outside while using his own phone. The suspect, aged 17, then approached the victim and the two interacted casually for a moment. The suspect then deliberately dropped his cell phone on the ground. As the victim bent to pick it up, the shooter opened fire at close range, discharging 16 rounds before fleeing the scene. Ten packets of cocaine were found at the scene with the victim, possibly intended to be handed over to the suspect, both of whom had previous records related to drug trafficking. The suspect remains at large. |
