They are trying. But, the government down there isn't exactly advanced. It was only a few years back that the Police Department in a Mexican city had to rely on American investigators to help solve a serial killer case down there. I recall something about the Mexican authorities claiming that "We don't have serial killers in Mexico, it's an American phenomenon." I can only imagine what the authorities think about handling drug cartels. They have no clue. Education is key. As always. You can't destroy the cartels with prison or violence, but you can educate people. The more educated societies tend to have lower murder rates than the less educated. Education tends to eradicate a lot of logical behavioral problems. There is no reason why you have to murder people while selling drugs. Unless you are surrounded by a bunch of uneducated poverty stricken ruthless animals that will do almost anything for a buck. You don't see middle class neighbourhoods in Ontario riddled with headless bodies on a regular basis, yet we have all the same drugs here and the same size market. The difference is the people here are not poor, not uneducated, not desperate and morally bankrupt. |

Anyone in Mexico that can confirm an huge escalation in the narco war down there. This flood of videos lately is either a sign of that, or it's just the summer season and they just pick up the pace. I mean, if MundoNarco goes down, it's not like those guys have a lack of choice for other sites to host their gruesome videos. They DO seem to want us to see them. |
