Now, wait... I do not want to play the skilled technician (I'm surely not that kind of person), but as far as I know, subway would draw it's power from a live power line ON the ground i.e. the rails itself, unlike e.g. an electric train. So, if you jump down and trip "cleverly", you might end up dead, right on the spot from that current, alone -- no need to wait for a train! I know this, 'cause I was visiting a subway-line; we walked on the rails down the tube, but they actually had the power switched off, before...
