If I remember right he was a Christian who was forced to denounce Christianity which he did then they cut his head off anyway ! Good old islam "the religion of peace"  |

IIRC this has nothing to do with the "he was a Christian" narrative that's floating around. I can't remember the actual story but it was quite different.
