I will agree, the cop did tell him not to move.. and the man also looked like he was going for something in his pocket or something.. he didn't lunge and I doubt he had a throwing knife, don't know how he got that out of it.. and he didn't even hesitate shooting that many times.. Bad World we all live in.

When you perceive your life to be in danger, one to two shots in whatever part does not simply "do it". In the vast majority of cases where an individual uses a firearm to defend their life, they will fire until their magazine empties. This is a combination of stress and fear, as well as the fact that bullets are not magical man stoppers. A fully grown adult can be shot in the leg without even realizing it and, unless a tendon or joint is severed, will continue to move upright.

Have you ever shot a man? Do you know how many shots can be fired per second? Try four to five. One second is not quick enough for a stressed human being to stop and assess every last detail, nor is it enough to take a deep breath and calm down, especially with the adrenaline that comes from shooting somebody.
