Re: Girl Shot Dead Because of Mistaken Identity
- Here’s the story: April 10, 2019 “THE family of the 17-year-old girl who was killed in Tondo, Manila Philippines in what relatives believe was a case of mistaken identity cried for justice. R.J, 17, was shot dead by a still unidentified man while buying breakfast Sunday morning, April 7. Based on a closed circuit television camera footage, the gunman pulled his gun on R.J, walked away, went back, and fired at the victim. Witnesses said the gunman called R.J as "Juanabie." Desiree Cordero, R.J’s mother, said they know a certain Juanabie whose body built and hairstyle are similar to R.J. "Napagkamalan lang siya (It was a case of mistaken identity)," said Cordero, who described her daughter as sweet and kind. She said she could not remember R.J having any enemies who may want to kill her. Tondo police station chief Lieutenant Colonel Reynaldo Magdaluyo said two persons who were arrested and admitted taking part in the crime, Juanabie was their real target after she failed to remit money from their illegal transactions. Magdaluyo urged Juanabie to surface and to cooperate with the ongoing investigation to identify and arrest the gunman. |
