Damn that girl was adorable. She obviously didn't know how to swim. When she came out of that car she was just panic-flapping her arms and legs. Zero thrust. It also looks like the water was not that deep, and the man was able to simply walk out. This death was so easily preventable.  Anyway she's dead and hot so...time to wack.  |

Actually, even the best swimmer can drown in an emergency situation like this. Depending on how hard she was fought to escape the car, she could have lost all her energy by the time she reached the surface. I’m not saying that’s what happened, but that’s pretty common in drownings.

I got curious and tried to look for any news articles about this in baidu, nothing came up. Googled the woman (李绚) and guy's name (杜恒), or any news relating to their tv stations, the Chinese language sites posting about it are just broken/blocked links. Either this was a high profile case or I'm just bad at looking up stuff, probably the latter. |

Nope. The body was hung up in a strainer. No diver will approach a strainer, which is a death trap. Also, any person in that water, if they did not get trapped, could still not haul her against the river current.
