Re: Getting Stoned
the fact they have to keep covering her face to continue stoning her is so fucking pathetic. each of the men participating deserve worse than what they did to her and some.

Re: Getting Stoned
very easily their religious book of commandments tells them to do it . . . . not necessarily intentionally, but many perceive it to be that way virtually all religions are about "spreading the word" and to some extent an "us against them" mentality - how better can one, who has virtually nothing but their faith, appease their god than to work hard to make everyone follow their religion |

Re: Getting Stoned
it is funny - when ever a subject that involves religion (or politics) comes up, you are willing to argue with everyone just to get your way that proves religion is not the problem with the world - it is people like you who cannot accept other people's point of view; religion is just used as the scape goat by bigots like yourself to justify your endless ramblings |

Re: Getting Stoned
I don't know if I agree with you, that their religious book tells them to, although I can't argue that is how some people perceive it. I am not especially religious myself but I am super curious about various world religions and I enjoy learning about the different perspectives the world has concerning "god". Islam is one of the most interesting major world religions I have come across and the Quran is a very....interesting read, to stay as neutral as possible. What is really interesting and kind of scary, in a sense, about the Quran and therefore the Islamic religion is that right within the first few lines of the book, I believe, it says something along the lines of this being the truth, directly from god, and if you do not believe it is the truth, it is because god has sealed your heart and mind and you can never know the truth, you are an infidel. That can be a mighty convenient little sentiment for false prophets and warlords to insulate their perspective and interpretation against any criticism, so yes, the Quaran has its problems. For sure. If you are going to look at what the Quran says, you have to look at it in its context. It was originally an oral tradition meant to be recited until other rich merchants like the original muhammad got it written down into the world famous book we know today. Hundreds of years ago the middle eastern world was fractured by several competing factions and tribes. It was a pretty dark time in the world, probably. Low life expectancy, disease, war, famine. The world was united by Islam, the middle eastern world at least, and nearly every single passage you could quote me from the Quran that speaks on war or violence or killing infidels has to do with stories told in the Quran about these various tribes locked in total war with each other and how by the power and glory of God, Allah, Al Batin, Al Sahid, Al Malik, whatever name you want to use, the Arab world was united and the treacherous "infidels" (pagans) were conquered. In these stories, the Quran tells us it is our duty as true believers to struggle and fight (kill and possibly die) in the name of god, and only true believers would understand why it is required to fight and possibly die. It says you can not trust the infidels because they will betray you and go back on pacts made with you, so they can not be trusted and in so many words, should just be killed. But the Quran also says things like Jews and Christians are brothers to all Muslims and that they should be respected. So its not really like Islam is telling people to go out and commit acts of terror, but I can totally see why some people would believe that to be the case...because I guess depending on which perspective you choose, you can twist Islam, the religion of "peace" into probably one of the most violent mainstream religions we have ever seen. But I think it is unfair to normal people who might believe in Islam or whatever to act like the losers in this video stoning a person to death because of some stupid man mad invention like "sharia law" represent what Islam is supposed to be about. I think people are just flawed animals and the nature of the Quran and its message can easily be perverted into the insanity we saw here on video today. Remember, you are pretty much watching the equivalent of backwater hillbilly trash in America getting worked at Jesus camp crying tears of angelic joy as they defile themselves with their tongue, being racist, stupid losers who know nothing and we all know here they are just stupid so let them have their dumb bullshit. Only difference is these Arab hillbillys are killing people, and who knows a solution for that, but I don't think it would be accurate or very valuable to accuse religion of being the problem when we know for sure it is people who are flawed and violent and primitive. Not god. At least that is my perspective anyway |
