Anyone else notice the lady with the food tray who shows up at 0:41 and how Cool Hand Luke she was about the whole thing? It's like she walks up next to the guy in the dark shirt, figures out what's going on, and then nopes right on outta there. Food Tray Lady: "What's that under the train?" Dark Shirt Guy: "Some dude who just fell." Food Tray Lady: "Nope." *turns, starts walking* "Nopenopenopenopenopenope..." |

I don't even get out my seat until the train has stopped. Baffles me why some people race to the door before the train stops. Just take your time. If you're important, people will wait.

Maybe he was scoring a free ride and didn't wanna get busted? Who knows? I've watched the clip about a million times and I *still* can't figure out what the hell happened. It doesn't look like he hesitated to let go, but then it also doesn't look like anyone grabbed him. But it also didn't look like it was any of his clothing that got snagged. Maybe he was wearing a ring or a bracelet that got snagged at *just* the right angle on some small protrusion on the train car. My Pop told me a story about how a paratrooper in jump school lost half of his hand and most of the tendons in his forearm because his wedding ring -- which he wasn't supposed to have on during the jump for this EXACT reason -- got snagged on a the head of a bolt in the fuselage right next to the door he was jumping out of. Ripped out practically everything that wasn't nailed down, and most of those parts were still hanging off the plane when it landed. Not sure if it was in my Pop's class or if it was just an example they used in training to drive the point home. |
