Re: Galvanized Steel Coil Work Accident
The factory must be large, so the load has to be hauled for several dozens of yards before reaching its destination. Now, the physics problem presented to us is the following: If a person is standing on a specified point along the path and you're hauling a one ton load at 20 MPH, at what distance from the subject would you have to let the load lose so the parabolic trajectory ends exactly at the point where the person is standing? That calls for a fancy looking set of equations to be solved before you know the exact distance and point in time to let lose that load, yet Mrs. Fate has no problem at all to make it look so easy that it seems to be the only probable solution and no need to calculate ANYTHING! |

Situational awareness. They have been preaching it at work. This looks like a prime example of not exercising it.

Re: Galvanized Steel Coil Work Accident
Seriously it’s like a bug being squashed. The only reason I watch documenting reality is to remind myself of the fragility of my existence.
