People either don't get it, don't care or both. In the event that my mother, father, brother, sister, wife, daughter, son or myself were to step towards the police in an aggressive manner and armed, I would fully expect to get blown away if I did not immediately stop said aggressive behavior. The rest of my family would support the police for doing what needed to be done. Case closed. It seems that the people who do this shit have their motives. They're just not getting the results they're expecting.

What I dont get about all these killings by police is why they do not shoot to the legs or something. Why is the need to kill people? Im not saying the cop is wrong, he has to defend himself too but I suppose in many circumstances there is a back story to many of these dead peoples lives,wether that is mental illness or drugs. I understand fully that the cop is shouting orders to this woman and she does not comply, however, why not just shoot her in the leg or something, surely that would stop her?

With a deadly weapon they are trained to kill. If shot in leg they can be agitated and throw said object. You would be suprised what some drug induced wacko's can still do after being shot so they expect the worst.
