I got pulled over for going 72 in a 55, when he asked me the infamous question 'do you know how fast you were going' I guessed 73. He was so shocked someone answered truthfully he couldn't even speak for a couple of minutes (and the look on his face was funny as hell)

Another time I don't know how fast I was going, I had left work with a horrible migraine and just wanted to get home. Again I told the truth, and that nice old cop let me off with a warning, called me 'ladybug' and commiserated on how bad migraines were.

When my son died at my exhusband's house - 2 uniformed officers, a man and woman, I guess were appointed to keep crazed mom calm. The woman was kind, firm, and professional....the man was the only person there who said 'sorry for your loss' and allowed me to cry into his chest. The house was full of EMT's and detectives. Most of whom looked everywhere except at me.

I will NEVER forget what they did that day; and I also try to remember that they are human beings doing a very difficult and life threatening job. Anytime I've ever been pulled over,or spoken to for any reason by a cop - I treated them with respect, and they did the same for me.

Your actions will directly affect how they respond to you. If a cop tells you to get down, and you refuse 'cause i din do nuffin' I hope you get shot.

Cops are people, and people are people, theres assholes and good ones.
That being said though, I know a lot of people who got into policing because they were Bullies and wanted a power trip.

Lots of people with a few screws loose are attracted to the field. Try having a crime perpetrated against you by one of them and then try to report it - all the other loose screws come after you.

I hate their line of "stop resisting" when the person who is being arrested is visably pinned down with weight of who knows how many cops ontop of them and literally is struggling for breath or just scared shitless after being manhandled and tased...Idk...
