Re: Full Police Video of the Nashville Shooter

I think it's less about the shooters and more about their portrayal. In weird counter-culture sects of the populace, they... weren't quite "anti-heros" but they were sort of victims themselves? There was even a movie i watched in 2005 called Heart of America which is a dramatized, fictional school shooting that spends 90% of the movie showing the shooters being beaten. And the climax of the movie is a scene in the bathroom, shooter holding up his bully, repeating taunting lines that were said to him earlier in the movie, and compares himself to a beaten dog before shooting. The movie is good for a low budget film, but it goes to show how for a long while, some people tried blurring the line. I think that whole "trying to understand them" angle is part of the problem. The wrong people have found shooters relatable...

Not only that, and not to get political beyond necessity, but I believe the progressive approach to "tolerance" and "acceptance" is part of the problem. We spend so much time telling everyone that they should always be accepted and tolerated, and that they are a victim for not being tolerated... that we forget to spend equal time trying to teach them that they don't need to be accepted to be okay.

I think that's an oversimplification of a much deeper issue, but I think it's a huge factor.

Regardless whether anyone agrees with those specific aspects of culture, I think it's indisputably a cultural issue, not a gun problem. If you were to drop a million guns in Chicago, half the city would off one another. If you dropped the same million guns in Tokyo or Auckland, I would bet my house and every dollar I ever earn that the results would be exponentially lower.
Great comments. One factor (of many) is the environment a person lives in. I have a friend grew up in a crappy, high crime neighborhood. One weekend afternoon one of his neighbors asked another neighbor to turn down his music. The music guy told him to fuck off. Lead to a confrontation that capped off with a shooting. Why not just walk away, is that REALLY worth killing someone. My buddy explained in the hood he lived in, ANY show of weakness (weakness defined as having the civility to walk away from a loud music confrontation) turns you into a victim and you're walking around with a target on your back. Your a "bitch" or a "punk" at that point. So to your point, that's the difference between many Chicago neighborhoods and Tokyo.

I distinctly remember the 2012 Aurora theater shooting as the beginning of this era of constant gun rampages and massacres in the USA, and then a dramatic spike in incidents from 2016 onward.
I never cared to bitch about moral decay, but it feels like the most obvious reason rampage killings keep happening since this last decade is because a growing number of Americans, especially the youth, don't feel like there is anything to feel satisfied about in life, like there is any real future to look forward to in this country other than continued devolvement into post-modern hell, and being bombarded by all of this and overstimulated by their smart devices. Not to mention, most people who get any sort of attention or recognition anywhere, especially online, usually it's for degenerate behavior or being obnoxious. Like all anyone gives a shit about is money or clout.
It's also obvious that the amount of people who have a sense of civic duty, societal trust, and satisfaction in their lives is much higher in places like New Zealand, even Japan with all the lonely people, so I agree with you.

I have began to think we are either dead-last as far as "First World" countries, or we are the king of the "Third World", haven't decided which is more true. maybe both.

Re: Full Police Video of the Nashville Shooter

This pice of shit killed a 9 yr old girl as she pulled the fire alarm.

I’m all for trans rights and I am a huge ally, but the fact that they’re using the wrong pronouns for her is awesome.

Disrespectful basically. Not like she deserves anything else.

Some vicious butch **** lesbians are worse than shit and even worse when they start killing kids...

Lesbians have provided many, many, many forms of relief to people of ALL backgrounds. They’re the most inclusive of all of us.

She is definitely wearing black vans in both videos. The video from the Axon is facing the window, causing a glare making the shoes almost look red in certain frames.
They are the same shoes.
Yeah I thought so at first glance, but it's just the lighting making them look a tad off. That screenshot really makes it obvious though

Re: Full Police Video of the Nashville Shooter

He came from a good family and no one knew he had mental health issues. He told a friend on numerous occasions he wanted to kill himself. He must have been in so much pain to do something so careless and violent. Those poor babies must have been so scared...
Fuck that bitch.
